Nkambe Gold Company Ltd is an indigenous artisanal mining company registered and operating since since 1989 and specializes in mining of non-ferrous metal like gold and dealing primarily in gold dust and gold bars. We own and control several mining sites in mining communities of the Eastern Region of Cameroon, especially the town of Bertoua.

Before the discovery of six new gold fields where in Cameroon in 2012, there were only nine primary gold mining fields in Cameroon that were big enough to be nationally considered gold fields and Nkambe Gold Company Ltd alone owned four of them. Being one of the prestigious mining companies in Cameroon to fully participate in the views and actions of the Artisan Mining Support and Promotion Framework (CAPAM), an outfit created by government to channel gold into the mainstream of industrial production, Nkambe Gold Company Ltd held a high priority position in the scramble of those newly discovered gold fields and finally acquired unrestricted licenses to three, raising the number of her gold mining fields to seven.

Today, with the discovery and acquisition of more gold mining fields in Cameroon we own 24 mining sites and counting, maintaining a capacity and the capability to meet your gold dust demand on weekly or monthly basis, based on the purchasing power of buyers as well as their satisfaction with our contractual agreement with other customers around the world.

The mission of Nkambe Gold Company Ltd is to create value for all of our stakeholders through responsible mining. Management strives to act as a responsible corporate citizen by building projects together with the communities near our operations and by committing to using best available techniques as we carry out our actions. We aim to achieve benefits for all parties involved and to contribute to the sustainability and improved livelihoods for the communities in which we operate. Mining responsibly defines who we are as a company and drives our way of doing business.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) unit is in charge of making sure our company voluntary undertakes actions to either improve the living conditions (economic, social, environmental) of local communities or to reduce the negative impacts of mining projects we conduct in those communities. By definition, these voluntary actions go beyond legal obligations, contracts, and licence agreements. We enjoy giving back to those communities.

Our CSR programs usually invest in infrastructure (potable water, electricity, schools, roads, hospitals, hospital equipment, drainage repairs, etc.), building social capital (providing high-school and university education, providing information on HIV prevention, workshops on gender issues, information on family planning, improving hygiene, etc.), and building human capital (training local people to be employed by the mining enterprise or to provide outsourced services, promote and provide skills on microbusiness, aquaculture, crop cultivation, animal rearing, textile production, etc.)
